Today is the day that I finally launched my book. Just a minor technical hiccup with the Kindle version – I’d never heard of an ncx file before. No matter, by 01:30 I’d dusted off my IT skills and cobbled together a file that Amazon finally accepted.
Then came the scary part, launching it for all to see. I’d been looking forward to pressing ‘Go’ for a long time, but I have to admit, my finger paused over the button for quite a while before I plucked up the courage to commit to sharing my work with the world. So now it’s out there – fingers crossed people like it.
I must acknowledge the great book Screw Work Break Free: How to launch your own money-making idea in 30 days by John Williams. It helped me stop procrastinating and kick start this project. His book gives an easy to follow formula to launch an idea or project. It says you should be ready to go in 30 days – I took 6 months – but without this book I would probably still be telling myself, “I’ll get around to it one day.”
Massive thanks to everyone who has helped and encouraged me in this project – Claire, Harrison, Aaron, Logan, Orson, Sanya, Jermaine, Sarah, Mark, Uma, Gail, Olivia, Khyber and Si. You have all been brilliant.
In this blog I’m going to be sharing more information on some of the concepts in the book, as well as some cool downloadable posters by the talented illustrator, Ariest. Subscribe to the newsletter and I’ll let you know when the posters are available.
Thanks all. Take care.
